Futures Archaeology
14 June 2025 – 4 August 2025
Aristi Mountain Resort + Villas and Gallery 3 Portes
Futures Archaeology comes second after a first iteration of Archeology, curated by Sophie Fardella in 2023 with Tassos Kaliakatsos, Angelos Krallis and Eleni Stroulia. Conceived as a space for experimentation, Futures Archaeology invites artists to push the boundaries of their chosen disciplines by exploring the physical structure of the artwork in its relationship to space.
By emphasizing the effects of art—emotional, didactic, informative—eleven artists come together in methods of making and acting, in the name of a shared creative approach: the research process. The aim is to create a dynamic, open, and informal space, bringing together artistic perspectives in a new kind of dialogue of unpredictable contours. In the words of Sophie Fardella, visual artist and co-owner of 3 Portes Gallery, when the process is more important than the result, it means that the quest is ongoing.
